Munchkin

There you lie
Sprawled on your back
Your cherub face awash with sleep

The sun streams into my room
As I listen to you merrily chat
To your envisioned playmates

Your face lights up
When I open your bedroom door
And greet you "Good Morning"

We play on the swings
With your grin ear to ear
Laughter tinkling down like waterfalls

Sleepily you rub your eyes
And coo when I give you a bottle
Nary a peep is heard hence

You crawl and you toddle
And you turn on the charm
You can be such a character

You are the sunshine after the rain
An absolute angel.....
My little Munchie!
